Spider is a 2023 monster movie about an accountant who has to fight off a huge arachnid in the jungle.
Written and directed by Farhan M Khan (Kahani; Sadpara the Mountaineer) and produced by Fiza Riaz.
The Pakistani Farhan Khan Film production stars Afzaal Nabi and Larissa Nunes, plus the voices of Sana Amjad, Bilal Ehsan and Ghulam Mustafa.
Plot:
Mustafa Khan (Afzaal Nabi), a chartered accountant, is left stranded in a jungle with only a mobile phone after being kidnapped for ransom money. As he tries to find his way out, he must confront a giant spider and rely on his resourcefulness to survive…

“Nabi doesn’t seem like a bad actor, and he’s the only person we see for the entire film. Even though almost his entire performance is literally phoned in, with occasional breaks to make tearful videos to his family, there are points where it does generate something approaching an emotional connection. Ignore the patently dishonest IMDb “user” review that rates Spider as 10/10 with hilarious accolades: “It has now become a cult classic for me and my friends. I loved the acting… you could really feel the emotions of the spider. The opening credits were very delightful and intriguing. You will laugh, cry and scream all at once sometimes.”
