Vampire Bats is a 2005 creature film about university students, cattle and fishermen being attacked and killed by mutant bats. The movie is a sequel to Locusts made the same year.
Directed by Eric Bross (The Boy Who Cried Werewolf; Vacancy 2: The First Cut) from a screenplay written by Doug Prochilo based on characters created by Doug Prochilo
The made-for-TV movie stars Lucy Lawless (Locusts), Dylan Neal, Liam Waite, Timothy Bottoms, Craig Ferguson (Modern Vampires), Brett Butler, Tony Plana, Jessica Stroup and Bobby Campo.

Film facts:
Production had to stop filming and evacuate the city of New Orleans once Hurricane Katrina neared shore. Filming was then continued in Halifax, Nova Scotia.
