The Devil’s Bath is a 2024 horror drama film set in 18th-century Austria about a suppressed young woman’s dark thoughts.

The Austrian-German movie stars Anja Plaschg, Maria Hofstätter, David Scheid, Claudia Martini, Natalya Baranova, Tim Valerian Alberti, Elias Schützenhofer, Camilla Schilia and Agnes Lampl.
Plot:
Austria, 1750: Villages were surrounded by deep forests. There, a deeply religious woman married her beloved, but her mind and heart soon grew heavy as her life became a long list of chores and expectations.
Day after day, she is increasingly trapped in a murky and lonely path leading to evil thoughts, until the possibility of committing a shocking act of violence seems like the only way out of her turmoil…
Release:
Streaming service Shudder acquired the film before its premiere at the Berlin International Film Festival. Shudder will release The Devil’s Bath theatrically in select US locations on June 21, 2024, before streaming it on June 28, 2024.
