Reviews:
Unimaginative camera set-ups and blocking mixed with roughshod editing made the film seem like the work of a first-time director. This is not to say the film is a complete travesty. On the contrary, there are quite a few things going for Halloween Hell. There is some decent make-up effects utilized for the demon, passable performances, and even some light bits of political satire…” Rock! Shock! Pop!

“It’s hokey, it’s a tad formulaic, it’s at times pretty brutal and gory, it’s blunt in its approach to horror, at the same time it doesn’t take itself too seriously … and all of this works for the movie, making this a fun throwback to yesteryear’s genre cinema, yet with a satirical edge that’s very much rooted in the now.” Search My Trash

“We’re in the cheesy so-bad-it’s-good slapstick-gore niche. The whole reality show angle doesn’t work. It’s in the way of two or three complicated stories. It’s rough around the edges but I’d watch this again on Halloween.” 2 out of 4, Tales of Terror

Halloween Hell is a mixed bag. As bad as the reality game show horror subgenre can be, this is really one of the more tolerable ones out there. I mean even though the pacing is often sluggish and a lot of it looks pretty cheap, you still have Eric Roberts playing Dracula and some pretty juicy gore effects.” The Video Vacuum
