‘Romance is dead’
Heart Eyes is a 2025 comedy horror slasher film about two co-workers mistaken for a couple by a murderer on Valentine’s Day.
The movie was directed by Josh Ruben (Werewolves Within; Scare Me) from a screenplay by Michael Kennedy (Time Cut; It’s a Wonderful Knife; Freaky), Christopher Landon (Freaky; Happy Death Day) and Phillip Murphy (The Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard). It was produced by Greg Gilreath, Adam Hendricks and Christopher Landon.
The Divide/Conquer-Ground Control-Screen Gems-Spyglass Media Group co-production stars Olivia Holt, Mason Gooding, Gigi Zumbado, Jordana Brewster (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre: The Beginning) and Devon Sawa (Final Destination).
Plot:
Two co-workers (Olivia Holt and Mason Gooding) are mistaken for a couple by a murderer in Seattle on Valentine’s Day. Forced to evade the killer, they must navigate the city’s romantic landscape while working together to survive…
In a previous statement, Josh Ruben expressed his excitement at blessing the horror world with another holiday-themed slasher:
