‘Keep the bad things outside’
Wolf Man is a 2025 supernatural horror film about a man who must protect himself and his family when they are being stalked and terrorised by a deadly werewolf at night during a full moon.
The movie is directed by Leigh Whannell (The Invisible Man; Upgrade; Insidious: Chapter 3) from a screenplay co-written with Corbett Tuck, Lauren Schuker Blum and Rebecca Angelo. Jason Blum is producing the film. Ryan Gosling, Ken Kao, Bea Sequeira, Mel Turner and Whannell are executive producers.
The Blumhouse Productions-Motel Movies-Universal Pictures-Waypoint Entertainment co-production stars Christopher Abbott (Poor Things; It Comes at Night), Julia Garner, Sam Jaeger, Ben Prendergast and Benedict Hardie (The Invisible Man).
Plot:
Blake (Christopher Abbott), a San Francisco husband and father, inherits his remote childhood home in rural Oregon after his father vanishes and is presumed dead. With his marriage to his high-powered wife, Charlotte (Julia Garner), fraying, Blake persuades Charlotte to take a break from the city and visit the property with their young daughter, Ginger (Matlida Firth).
However, as the family approaches the farmhouse in the dead of night, they’re attacked by an unseen animal and, in a desperate escape, barricade themselves inside the home as the creature prowls the perimeter. As the night stretches on, however, Blake begins to behave strangely, transforming into something unrecognisable, and Charlotte will be forced to decide whether the terror within their house is more lethal than the danger without…
