JIMMY Podcast serial killer horror – overview and trailer

Jimmy is a 2024 supernatural horror film about Dilara who becomes obsessed with a podcast about a convicted killer, until past and present blur, and the dead begin to speak back.

Directed by David-Jan Bronsgeest from a screenplay by Tim Koomen based on the 2018 horror short Meet Jimmy.

The Dutch production stars Rick Paul van Mulligen, Sonia Eijken, Charlie Chan Dagelet, Sara Luna Zorić, Richelle Plantinga, Thijs Boermans, Isa Hoes, Sophie Bouquet and Aiko Beemsterboer.

Plot:
After her childhood friend Jennifer is murdered, Dilara (Sonia Eijken) returns to her hometown for the funeral and reunites with the friends she left behind.

The friends become obsessed by a popular true crime podcast about Jim, a notorious killer believed to be dead. However, the more they listen, the more terrifying their situation becomes. A vengeful presence appears to be reaching them through the recordings, turning their curiosity into a deadly threat.

When another murder plunges town folk into a panic, Dilara fears she and her friends are being hunted. As the podcast’s sinister influence spreads, she struggles to escape a killer who refuses to stay buried…
