” …stands tall above other indie horrors of its ilk, largely due to Spaltro’s background in dramatic storytelling. By taking the time to flesh out the personalities of each character, Spaltro grounds the horror and encourages the viewer to sympathise with their individual plights.” Flickering Myth

” …In The Dark does have some genuinely creepy moments but I felt that it played it too safe, and doesn’t stand out too much in an already saturated sub-genre. It’s use of shadow creatures at the start and it’s use of darkness could have been used more…” UK Horror Scene

Dark Exorcism is not a perfect film, but it’s a cut above most films in the possession sub-genre. Frightening, terrifically acted, and above all, entertaining – Dark Exorcism will be appreciated by horror fans in need of a great story and suggests a bright future for director David Spaltro.” Horror Geek Life

  1. Sceptical can be with a ‘c’ or a ‘k’ and realise is the preferred British spelling. As this site is UK-based we go with the English rather than American spellings except when quoting US reviewers. Flesh out is correct in the context.

It’s a shame you haven’t you got anything more positive to comment on rather than petty, inaccurate nit-picking. Why bother if this is all you can offer to the rest of the world?
