Night of the Living Dead: Genesis is a 2017 American zombie horror film directed by Matt Cloude (The Curse of Krampus; Fantasma; 2 Die For; et al) from a screenplay co-written with William G. Smith (Shadowhunters). The Rough Cut Films production stars Addy Miller, Judith O’Dea and Sarah Snyder.
The film pays homage to the timeless classic while expanding upon its storyline to explore more of the night when the dead began to rise by chronicling the events through the eyes of lead heroine Barbra (Judith O’Dea). The project has been developed over a number of years.
