TOOTH FAIRY (2019) Reviews and overview

Tooth Fairy is a 2019 British supernatural horror film directed by Louisa Warren (Vikings vs. KrampusCurse of the Scarecrow; Bride of Scarecrow) from a screenplay written by Tom Critch (Bite) and Shannon Holiday (Mandy the Doll; House on Elm Lake; et al).

The movie stars Claire-Maria Fox, Claudine-Helene Aumord and Manny Jai Montana. Ubiquitous American horror regular Shawn C. Phillips has a cameo role.

“Along with a creepy lead villain and quite impressive gore for an indie effort, this one was really fun at times. There are a few flaws to be had here. The main issue on display is the dreadful and utterly snail-like pacing that robs the film of a lot of the momentum it’s trying to build.” Don’s World of Horror and Exploitation

“What we have is a tiresome retread of every ghostly/imaginary monster/demonic story ever told in a painfully slow way. It’s less a horror and more of a family drama which does not make good viewing even if Claire-Maria Fox tries her hardest to light up the screen.” Games, Brrraaains & A Head-Banging Life

“If Tooth Fairy had doubled down on the horror parts this would have been a whole lot more enjoyable. The whole notion of this was a stupid one, and so it was a weird decision to try and play so much of the story here deadly serious when a knowingly silly tone would have worked so much better. This was a pretty bad film and felt like a bit of a wasted opportunity.” The Rotting Zombie
