HACKSAW (2019) Reviews and overview

Hacksaw is a 2019 American slasher horror feature film written, produced and directed by Anthony Leone (shorts: Baby; Assumption; Silent). The Gray Area Multimedia-Leone Films production stars Cortney Palm (Death House; Dead Ant; The Dark Tapes; Zombeavers), Brian Patrick Butler, George Jac and Jayce Venditti.

Plot:

A young couple travelling across the rural outskirts of California, go off course by stopping at an abandoned building near the city, to see where the local urban legend of the notorious murderer, Eddie “Hacksaw” Crowe was killed…

Reviews:

Hacksaw jumps around in style a lot including narrative style to found footage style and black and white to color, but for an independent production, the overall quality is just about what I expected […] All things considered, Hacksaw is a decent horror film that only suffers from lack of cohesive style and lack of genre elements instead of dramatic filler.” Horror Society

“Overall, we thought Hacksaw was a pretty decent effort. There were a lot of things that it did really well, and there were some things that it didn’t do well. Hacksaw has a lot of heart where it matters and also doesn’t compromise when it comes to the practical effects gore.” The Midnight Horror Show
