‘A glamping psychodrama’
Killer Retreat is a 2018 British psychological thriller film in which seven people go on a therapeutic weekend that leads to violence and death.
Written and directed by Robert Mullan (Mad to be Normal; Gitel), the movie – which was originally titled This Weekend Will Change Your Life – stars David Bamber, Niky Wardley, Caitlin Innes Edwards and Kate Sissons.
Plot:
Seven people urbanites are seduced by a brochure offering change, personal growth, and a break from overcrowded and polluted London at a therapeutic weekend in the Cotswolds which will ‘change their life’. It does, but not in the way they imagine.
The weekend is facilitated by a husband and wife combo who immediately confiscate their mobile phones. They are ensconced in yurts and tipis on a farm, miles from anywhere…
