‘From zeros to heroes’

Monster Force Zero is a 2020 American science-fiction action-comedy feature film about aliens that endow cos-play pals superpowers.

Directed by Nathan Letteer from a screenplay co-written with Tyson Kroening and Michele Pacitto, the ETK Entertainment-The Gam3 production stars Garrett Wang, Dalena Nguyen, Greg Farinelli, Heath C. Heine, Aeon Cruz and Shale Le Page.

In a last-ditch effort to gain exposure for his failing comic book “Monster Force Zero” (MF0), Calvin Cashill (aka A.I.) and his team of cos-players enter an underground exhibition cos-play battle against the infamous “Destroyers of Destruction” (D.O.D.). However, cosmic forces are at work and this battle is just the beginning of an interstellar monstrous ride for the team…

“Even though the film has some trouble navigating its narratives, Monster Force Zero still stands as a fun geek-centered story. The costumes instantly transport the viewers to the booths of comic con, and the stylized action throws the audience straight into the fray of combat. Above all, the film’s soundtrack immerses viewers in the perfect mindset for a homage to all things nerdy.” Film Threat

Monster Force Zero was made by nerds who love being nerds and wanted to create a film for fellow nerds. Throughout the film the director provides the viewer with references from more obvious pop culture with mentions of Close EncountersStar Trek, and Assassin’s Creed, but even more obscure fandom such as Ultraman earns a nod or two. My powers of fandom detection are unworthy, but those more immersed in various types of pop culture will enjoy the comic-con who’s-who storyline.” Killer Horror Critic

“With a fantastic cast, including former wrestler Tanaka in a key role and a standout performance from Dalena Nguyen as A.I.’s cosplaying teammate Kadabra Couture, Monster Force Zero does exactly what it set out to – homage the sci-fi/fantasy films of the 80s, create a love-letter to geeks everywhere and be a damn fun movie at the same time; and as such I can heartily recommend it.” Nerdly

“Taking quite a few cues from Galaxy Quest, Monster Force Zero is actually a fun piece of lo-fi superhero cinema, one that centers on the entertainment value of its story, doesn’t lose itself in too long-winded narrations or unnecessary subplots but seems to thoroughly enjoy its at times nonsensical narration and without losing the story’s heart goes for comedy…” Search My Trash

“Everyone involved in Monster Force Zero should be proud. For a fairly inexperienced cast and crew on a small budget, they’ve produced a fun and polished looking film. It ends on a cliffhanger, and I’d love to see the sequel.” Voices from the Balcony
