‘Breaking the speed of reality has its consequences’

Expulsion is a 2020 American science-fiction thriller feature film about a pair of scientists that discover a parallel universe.

Written and directed by Aaron Jackson and Sean C. Stephen, based on a story by the latter, the American Pop Productions movie stars Colton Tapp, Rosalie Fisher, Aaron Jackson and Lar Park-Lincoln.

Plot:

Scott and Vincent are top recruits at the prestigious Cicero Market Technologies Corporation where they are tasked with the development and implementation of cutting edge technologies. The sole purpose of their work is to bring about medical, environmental and physics advancements.

However, beaten by their own curiosity, the pair begin to sneak their work home with them. They push the boundaries of particle collision science to undiscovered levels stumbling upon a parallel universe complete with an alternate version of Scott. As their days and nights unfold they begin to discover that others seek their tech to advance their own agendas. Agendas that they intend to fulfil at any cost…

Reviews:

“With a clearly limited budget and resources, it may be easy to write off Expulsion but thankfully the script is the thing that holds it all together, giving the movie no more and no less than it needs to tell its story. The acting is also of the low budget variety and often it seems that the script may be better served with performances that match its preciseness.” Battle Royale with Cheese

“A pretty tight sci-fi thriller that manages to translate big ideas to a lo-fi approach without losing any of their intensity, thanks to a concentration on interesting characters and relatable character arcs, and while some of the science babble is probably going over everyone’s head, the basic story is solid, comprehensible, and builds on suspense and a feeling of unease…” Search My Trash
