‘…you can never leave’

C.O.R.N: A Field of Screams is a 2021 American horror film about teenagers who become the victims of a cult obsessed with human taxidermy. The movie is apparently the first part of a planned trilogy.

Written, produced and directed by Robin Christian (Disposable; Bad Company). The Dreamscape Cinema production stars Mateus Ward, Kennedy Tucker, Roger Cross, Dylan Riley Snyder and Robert Donavan (Art of the Dead; Killer Kate!).

Stranded in a rural area, two teenagers make friends with locals on Halloween but soon run into a cult called C.O.R.N. (Collective Order of Recreational Necrophilanthropists) that have chosen this area to perform human taxidermy…

“For a film about human taxidermy, C.O.R.N: A Field of Screams is fairly light on gore, although the one scene we do get is extremely effective. There are also some effective sound effects. And we do get to see some interestingly stitched together bodies during the party […] This could have been a passable slasher but it goes on way too long with a few too many dumb decisions on the part of both the cast and the filmmakers.” Voices from the Balcony
