Reviews:
Nix is more of a headcase than a case of creature horror. The eponymous monster is integral to everything gone wrong in one unfortunate family, though how so changes over the course the movie. The cerebral conclusion is something to look forward to, but everything before then poses a challenge.” 2/5, Bloody Disgusting

Nix begins promisingly, and it’s an honest portrait of grief, but as it goes, its life-force simply flags, as it seems to go through the motions. It contains a few striking moments, even as it drags toward the end, but it’s an overall disappointment.” 2.5 out of 4, Combustible Celluloid

“Engulfed by a grief still tearing the family apart, the film plods on to the end with this weary premise, a few scares and without any good reasons to watch such an inert film. But if into absorbing grief, you got yourself a beauty here.” Dennis Schwartz Movie Reviews

“The picture’s antagonist appears to be intended as a metaphor for the dangerous nature of unprocessed grief; a commentary on the way loss can live inside us like a parasite and destroy a person from the inside out if allowed to stagnate. And while grief certainly tore apart this family, the way the metaphor is executed feels ham-fisted. It’s laid on a little thick…” 2/5, Dread Central

“I truly was surprised with some of the stand-out elements of Nix, the reveals, the monster and some nuances in the writing. Themes of trauma and addiction are below the surface but clearly felt. And this is not just for horror fans, Nix is an impactful story steeped in many genres, such as mystery and suspense. Overall, this was a fun movie I would recommend.” OC Movie Reviews
