Reviews:
“Although admirable, when found-footage horror reaches too far for the brass ring of authenticity, it can backfire. Why? Because reality is usually boring, and such is the case here. Now, where the movie ends up isn’t real, but not worth the sit to get there; just make do with the trailer […] If nothing else, Reportage November proves Sweden can make found-footage movies as dull as we Americans.” Flick Attack
“Reportage November is a solid found footage film that does the basics correct.” 3/5, Movie Reviews 101
“Unfortunately, I found this film to be ultimately unsatisfying and it afforded me only one small scare. It’s a shame this isn’t great, because it’s well acted with characters that you like, a good setting, reasonable ideas behind it, and confidently filmed; but there’s something missing and it just misses the mark for me.” 3 out of 5, The Movie Waffler
“Where Reportage November manages to raise itself above other found-footage flicks, is by having the neat twist which I referred to earlier, and for being better acted and directed than ninety per cent of the others I’ve seen. The cast are likeable, especially Jocke […] and if you’re a fan of found-footage then this is a must-see. If you’re not then chances are that you’ll not be choosing it for your evening’s viewing anyhow.” My Bloody Reviews
” …this is actually a pretty good movie, as it’s based on a well-crafted and carefully structured script that doesn’t rely on its filmmaking style too much, and sea-sickness inducing shots aside it’s also well-filmed and well-edited, puts an emphasis on atmosphere, and the small ensemble is really solid and relatable, adding urgency to the proceedings.” Search My Trash
“For a film that looks to have been shot on a shoestring and with several of the cast working behind the camera as well, Reportage November is a solid film that fans of monster movies and conspiracy films as well as found footage aficionados can enjoy.” 3.5 out of 5, Voices from the Balcony
