Screams from the Swamp is a 2022 Italian horror film about a woman seeking vengeance for the untimely deaths of her husband and son.

Directed and co-produced by Lorenzo Lepori (Flesh Contagium; Notte nuda; Catacomba; Sangue misto; Resurrection in Blood) from a screenplay co-written with Antonio Tentori (Nightmare Symphony; Virus: Extreme Contamination; Dario Argento’s Dracula; Zombies: The Beginning; Nightmare Concert (A Cat in the Brain) and many more). Also produced by Luca di Silverio and Alex Visani.

The Digitmovies Alternative Entertainment-Empire Video co-production stars Simona Vannelli, Lorenzo Lepori, Pio Bisanti, Antonio Tentori and Monica Innocenti.

Plot:
Angela’s (Simona Vannelli) husband and son died in hospital after a car accident. Since then the woman has been searching in vain for justice towards the doctor who carried out the fatal operation, Doctor Max (Lorenzo Lepori).

Desperation and obsession lead Angela to a paranoid state that dissociates her from reality. She follows the doctor day after day: behind the anonymous facade, the man hides a parallel life made of depravity and murders committed together with his colleagues Alan (Antonio Tentori) and Ivan (Pio Bisanti).

Discovering these new horrors, Angela turns to dark otherworldly forces to find the strength to eliminate the killers. This decision leads her into a spiral of violence and hallucinations, where pleasure and fear are confused and at the end of which there is a very high price to pay…
