Reviews:
” …director Brendan Rudnicki and co-writer Kellan Rudnicki provide consistently good suspense and moments of fright. There’s a little editorial flourish used when the creature attacks that works even when we’ve seen it a few times. […] There are a few things that ought to be explained (like how it is that Roger is able to walk around the woods at night unharmed), but overall, Forest of Death hangs together as a respectable indie horror entry.” Grade: B Assignment X
” …Forest of Death has some much better acting than you see in most horror movies. For starters, the comic relief is funny, which you never get. Newmark’s timing is laser-precise, getting bigger laughs than the materials warrant through delivery. Rhoades really has this horror thing down and could go full Scream Queen if she wanted. She looks good with blood on her.” 8.5 out of 10, Film Threat
” …Forest of Death is a standout horror film made with limited resources that defies genre expectations and showcases the creative talents of its director, Brendan Rudnicki […] It may not be suitable for those who prefer traditional jump scares and gore, but Forest of Death is a must-watch for horror fans who appreciate thought-provoking and innovative storytelling.” 6 out of 10, Gh Movie Freak
“With a running time of roughly 75 minutes, one would say Rudnicki tries to consolidate every item in the agenda for a full-blown horror film. However, the young director doesn’t quite do it. He prefers to experiment with performances and restricted spaces to make the audience feel part of something much more mysterious than what you’d see in your regular X-files episode.” 3.2 out of 5, Movie Blogger
