The Equalizer 3 is a 2023 American action thriller film about Robert McCall’s fight against an Italian crime syndicate. The movie is a sequel to The Equalizer (2014) and The Equalizer 2 (2018), loosely based on the 1980s TV series.
Directed by Antoine Fuqua (who helmed the first two Equalizer movies, plus Emancipation; The Guilty; Infinite; The Magnificent Seven; Southpaw; Olympus Has Fallen; Brooklyn’s Finest; Shooter; Training Day; Bait; The Replacement Killers) from a screenplay written by Richard Wenk (The Equalizer and The Equalizer 2, The Protégé; American Renegades; Jack Reacher: Never Go Back; 16 Blocks; Countdown; The Mechanic).
The Columbia Pictures-Escape Artists -Sony Pictures co-production stars Denzel Washington, Dakota Fanning, Sonia Ben Ammar, Remo Girone, Andrea Dodero, Eugenio Mastrandrea and Andrea Scarduzio.
Plot:
Robert McCall (Denzel Washington) finds himself at home in Southern Italy but he discovers his friends are under the control of local crime bosses. As events start to turn deadly, McCall knows what he has to do: become his friends’ protector by taking on the mafia…
