Reviews:

“There is some neat-looking art and design work throughout Lost Talisman, but the special effects are too Marvel-like (that is not a compliment). Regardless, Kim keeps it moving along at a healthy clip and wraps it up in ninety-some minutes, which is quite snappy for major Korean releases. Recommended for fans of K-horror and shamanic fantasy…” J.B. Spins

“This is the case of a story initially driven by characters, ideas, and humor that becomes a bland exercise in action and effects. Doctor Cheon and the Lost Talisman hints at further adventures for this character, of course, but by the end, one wonders if there’s anywhere for him to go from here that isn’t just more of the same.” 2 out of 4, Mark Reviews Movies

“At least, it is mildly watchable mainly thanks to the good efforts from Kang and several other main cast members. and, considering the positive reactions from many audiences around me I observed yesterday, it may succeed enough in the local box office to produce the following sequels. Seriously, I really hope that I will be more entertained in the next time.” Seongyong’s Private Place

“I’m used to Korean films running two hours or more so at an hour and thirty-eight minutes, Doctor Cheon and the Lost Talisman feels short. They should have invested in another ten or fifteen minutes to at least round the main characters out. It’s still an enjoyable film and worth seeing, especially if you have kids. But it could have been a lot better…” ★★★  Voices from the Balcony
