Granny Krampus is a 2024 British horror film in which an estranged family is brought together at Christmas for a reunion at their old house. Unfortunately, they quickly find themselves at the mercy of a nightmarish entity from the past.
The movie was directed by Jack E. Bell (Island of the Dolls; Honey Trap; Dinosaur Hotel 2; Return of the Salem Witch; Curse of Humpty Dumpty 2) from a screenplay by Christopher Jolley (Whisper; Remember Me; Virus of the Dead; writer of The Ghosts of Borley Rectory; Doll House; Scare Attraction; Alfred the Doll; The Haunting of Borley Rectory).
The Proportion Productions movie stars Mark Rush, Jodie Bennet and Poppy Castleton.

” …teases with a full hour of drawn-out chat which only emphasises the poor script and indifferent acting (although Marchant’s grumpy teen is rather authentic). The Christmas mood is limited to a few bits of tinsel […] and the whole thing is pretty awful until the last twenty minutes or so when the horror elements are (finally) introduced.” Dark Eyes of London

“As a horror movie, Granny Krampus is a disappointing nothing of a movie. But as therapy, it was kinda nice. Very quiet, lots of long boring scenes, no jump scares, no ups, no downs, no surprises. It was very chill and gave me lots of time to zone out. I appreciated that.” Happyotter

“An absolutely lifeless drama with minor sprinklings of horror that feels like watching ice cubes melt. Every drab, whisper-quiet scene is a test of endurance, as not even the bloody moments raise a pulse. A colossally dull snooze fest.” 1 out of 4, Splatter Critic
