Plot:
When a child-stealing demon attaches itself to a little girl, her family is thrust into a battle against time in order to save the girl and send the demon back to Hell…
Reviews:
“The Chosen features so much crying over fallout from infirm grandparents, drug addiction, unplanned pregnancies, and untimely infanticide that its style fits better as family drama than as suspenseful horror. There is no big-screen cinematic value in the presentation, though it would work well for a cable TV movie-of-the-week, which The Chosen resembles.” Culture Crypt
“The story is hokey, and the CGI is reprehensible (why is it everyone who’s possessed lately has blacked-out eyes and a widening mouth)? There’s may be one or two moderate jump scares (could be more, I was almost falling asleep), and the conclusion is lackluster in a kind and giving sense.” Dread Central
“The graphics, CGI, screenplay, directorial skills, sound, plot, cinematography, and editor did not help this movie with their not so good attributes. Overall I advise horror fans and everyone, in general, to stay away from this movie because it is not worth seeing even on a rainy day.” Hell Horror
“Sure, the premise might be far-fetched, but that’s the case with lots of horror films. But the characters are written believable enough, and their reactions to things are spot-on – which is why one can really feel for Cameron, no matter what unspeakable deeds he commits for an, after all, selfish goal – that said, the fact that the whole ensemble’s first-rate doesn’t hurt, either.” Search My Trash
