Reviews:
Critical reaction to the film has always been wholly negative. The Aurum Film Encyclopedia: Horror noted that “the direction is amateurish, the acting wooden and the script confused.”

In his seminal tome Euro Gothic, Jonathan Rigby describes it as “an incoherent mess, with repeated shots of pulsing grave earth counting as the only glimmers of imagination in the entire enterprise.”

Meanwhile, horror historian and critic Kim Newman noted on his website that the movie is “incoherent, fragmentary, absurd, inconclusive and nonsensical”.

Down Among the Movies noted “you don’t really know what’s going on for most of the film and I think that’s why it fails.”

On the other hand, Bleeding Skull! praised the “dizzying handheld shots, nonsense edits, inanimate closeZ-ups during times of action, and boffo music cues that could break glass.”
