‘Party til you drop’
#AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead is a 2024 American horror thriller film about college friends who rent an Airbnb only to be killed off one by one.
Directed by Marcus Dunstan (Unhuman; The Neighbor; The Collection; The Collector; Piranha 3DD; Feast) from a screenplay written by Jessica Sarah Flaum and Josh Sims from a storyline by co-producer John Baldecchi (producer of Children of the Corn 2020; Deep Rising). Also produced by Sarah Donnelly, Jessica Sarah Flaum, Stephanie Rennie, Jessica Schwartz, Kirk Shaw and Josh Sims.
The Ambitious Entertainment-Digital Riot Media-Imoto Productions-Paramount Players-Roundtable Entertainment Holdings co-production stars Jade Pettyjohn, JoJo Siwa, Jennifer Ens, Ali Fumiko Whitney, Julian Haig, Justin Derickson, Michaella Russell, Cardi Wong, Jack Doupe-Smith, Pete Graham, Brahm Taylor and Heidi Ben.

Plot:
A group of close college friends get a steal on a killer Airbnb for the biggest music festival of the year. A weekend of partying quickly takes a turn for the worse, as the group is murdered one by one. They soon discover that each death directly corresponds to one of the seven deadly sins…
Producer John Baldecchi has said: “The script has an entertaining mix of humour and horror that appeals to the die-hard horror fans, comedy lovers, scaredy cats alike. The film, that is reminiscent of hits like Happy Death Day and is full of fun is also equally scary with clever plot twists that will keep you guessing until the very end.”

Reviews:
“Director Marcus Dunstan (The Collector) gives the movie a brisk pace and he stages the violence with flair. A movie needs to do more than cathartically kill off unlikable characters to hold anyone’s attention, though. #AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead lacks the sort of plot development that makes viewers eager to see what’s next. There’s some decent stuff in here, just not enough to elevate the film into anything particularly noteworthy.” ★★ out of ★★★★ The Aisle Seat

“#AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead is a film that delivers gore and occasional thrills but ultimately falls short of being a standout horror entry for the summer. With a title that could easily be “I Know What You Did Last Semester,” the film’s attempts at fun and scares are undermined by its uneven execution and lack of originality. While not the best, it’s worth a watch for die-hard horror fans and those who enjoy a bit of nostalgic detective work.” CineDump
“What makes #AMFAD: All My Friends Are Dead so frustrating is that we can see Dunstan has visual talent. Shots and ideas are executed about as much as you can hope for, but the pacing and story sink the ship. There’s a version of this movie that hits the zeitgeist. However, this one feels set up to capitalize on the idea of a Gen-Z gorefest rather than deliver a new iteration of the teen slasher.” Sunshine State Cineplex
