Nosferatu is a 2024 horror film remake that combines live actors with digitally scanned sets from the 1922 original. The movie, which has been in production for years, is being promoted as Nosferatu: A Symphony of Terror to perhaps differentiate it from Robert Eggars’ big-budget 2024 remake.
Summoned to a bloodthirsty vampire’s faraway castle, a young land clerk embarks on a harrowing journey into the unknown as his innocent wife falls under the spell of a terrifying shadow in her dreams.
In 2005, Fisher released a remake of the expressionist classic The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari (watch below).
The BeamScreen Productions-Zemrak Pirkle Productions movie stars Doug Jones (Hellboy; Pan’s Labyrinth), Sarah Carter, Joely Fisher, Emrhys Cooper and Jack Turner.

We believe this ‘fresh take on an old tale’ will bring something new to devoted fans, and excite an entire new generation of audiences as well. Our team has a lot of experience creating a movie like this, as we’ve already done it before on our previous film The Cabinet of Doctor Caligari. For that project we created a custom technique never before seen in the history of filmmaking. By scanning a vintage print, we were able to shoot our actors on green-screen, then layer them into digital sets recreated from the original film’s imagery.”
