‘A twisted test of faith’
Heretics is a 2024 found footage horror film about a group of teens who break into the abandoned Simmons House. What begins as a thrill-seeking adventure turns into a nightmare as they discover a dark cult intent on sacrificing them one by one.
The movie was directed by Jose Prendes (The Exorcists; Monster Mash; Headless Horseman; The Haunting of Whaley House; Unspeakable Horrors: The Plan 9 Conspiracy; Blood Brothers; Corpses Are Forever; The Monster Man) from a screenplay by Ryan Ebert (Shark Warning; Megalodon: The Frenzy; Shark Side of the Moon; Tales of a Fifth Grade Robin Hood; Apocalypse of Ice; San Andreas Mega Quake). It was produced by Paul Bales and David Michael Latt and executive produced by David Rimawi.
The Atomic Blonde Entertainment production stars Eric Roberts, Anna DeRusso (Monster Mash), Sara Kamine, Ryan Barrier, Shelby Wright, Neeley Dayan (Alien: Rubicon), Maria Pinsent, Ida Barklund, Scott Mazzapica, Teryn Macallan and JJ Fech.
