‘Every family has its demons’
Evil Dead Burn is a 2026 supernatural horror film about a grieving woman who is besieged by Deadites.
The movie was directed by Sébastien Vaniček (Infested) from a screenplay co-written with Florent Bernard. It was produced by Rob Tapert and Sam Raimi and executive produced by Romel Adam, Bruce Campbell, Lee Cronin and Jose Canas.
The Ghost House Pictures-New Line Cinema-Screen Gems production stars Souheila Yacoub, Tandi Wright, Hunter Doohan, Luciane Buchanan, Errol Shand, George Pullar, Maude Davey and Greta Van Den Brink.
Evil Dead creator Sam Raimi selected Sébastien Vanicek as director after being impressed with his work on Infested (2023). Vanicek stated his intention with the film was to, “create a visceral, sensory experience that punches the audience in the gut. I want people to feel physically drained when they leave the theater, like they’ve been through an emotional and intense journey.”
Plot:
After the loss of her husband, a woman seeks solace with her in-laws in their secluded family home. As one by one they are transformed into Deadites—turning the gathering into a family reunion from hell—she comes to discover that the vows she took in life live on… even in death.
Release:
It will be distributed domestically by Warner Bros. Pictures and is set to open in theaters in North America on July 10, 2026. The release was moved forward from its earlier July 24 date. France and Italy are set to receive the film on July 8, 2026
