It is the sequel to 2019’s White Snake and was inspired by the Chinese folktale Legend of the White Snake.
Plot:
At the end of the Southern Song Dynasty, Xiaobai was forced by Fahai under the Leifeng Pagoda after saving Xu Xian. Xiaoqing was accidentally driven into a strange fantasy of Shura City by Fahai.
In several crises, Xiaoqing was rescued by the mysterious masked youth. With the obsession of going out to rescue Xiaobai, Xiaoqing goes through calamity and growth, and together with the masked youth finds a way to leave…

The film was released in China on 23rd July 2021 and took 200 million yuan ($30.86 million) in its first three days of release.
