Originally, The Boogeyman was going to stream in January 2023 on Disney’s direct-to-consumer platforms, on Hulu in the US, Star+ in Latin America, and Disney+ under the Star banner in all other territories. However, strong positive reactions at test screening mean the movie was released theatrically in the United States by 20th Century Studios on June 2, 2023.
