Reviews:
The Unheard is not a perfect movie; at over two hours it’s hard not to reach a point of exhaustion, and it has perhaps a handful of ideas too many (I haven’t even touched on the black-gloved stalker lurking within the fringes, or a queer romantic subplot which could stand to be a little more explicit) […] By the final reel, the film reaches a fever pitch, with Chloe’s auditory and visual hallucinations seemingly warping the fabric of reality itself.” Boston Hassle

“It’s a testament to the work of sound designer Colin Alexander and the rest of the sound department that The Unheard works at all […] There’s not much else to enjoy from the uninspired visuals, stilted acting, and clunky script that leads up to an ending so fantastically dull it undoes the little goodwill the movie accumulates over the course of its runtime.”RogerEbert.com

” …a film that starts strong and then sidelines an interesting plot for one that isn’t nearly as successful and begins to lose steam. And with a two-hour-plus running time, that is not a good thing. It does rally to deliver a good chase but the final payoff is as predictable as the killer’s identity. It’s also the reason for the warning about flashing lights at the film’s start.” 2 out of 5 stars, Voices from the Balcony

” …too long, too open to misfires – the whole film feels much more anonymous, which is a real shame: The Unheard has good production values, looks great, and offers some strong performances, but its eventual resolutions do little to balance the film’s early promise. It even invites some exasperated yelling before the end credits appear.” Warped Perspective
