Reviews:
“Closer to an f-Giallo than a horror movie, Cabin Girl finally comes together in the end but it’s the kind of closure that I can see some members of its audience not being all that happy with […] It’s certainly looks better than many streaming movies, has an interesting twist and man, there’s a disquieting moment of gore near the ending that made my hand hurt.” B&S About Movies

Cabin Girl falls into the realm of average horror films. While Rose Lane Sanfilippo delivers a strong performance as Ava, her character remains one-dimensional and annoying. The lack of originality and innovation is a major drawback, and the rushed narrative leaves much to be desired. However, the film does offer some entertaining moments, particularly when it fully embraces the horror genre.” Grade: C+ Caillou Pettis Movie Reviews

“A great screenplay gives structure to great acting. Once the twist (which I genuinely wasn’t expecting) becomes apparent it’s just a matter of seeing where the story will take you. Though well before that point the film does a great job of hooking the viewer with a realistic external threat and a credible supernatural internal threat.” 4 out of 5, Fantome Blue

“The screenwriters of Cabin Girl are Leslie Beaumont and Rory James Wood, who managed to create an intriguing story on multiple levels. Both the very real tragedy and the ghost story element worked for me. Especially as the runtime is around that sweet spot of just under 90 minutes. Check it out on Tubi now!” 3 out of 5, Heaven of Horror

Cabin Girl is one of those movies that is fine if you are just looking for an easy-to-watch horror. If you aren’t concerned about being blown away and just need to fill 90 minutes, it is totally adequate. It has a mix of paranormal, personal drama and a fairly interesting mystery. But don’t expect it to knock your socks off.” 3 out of 5, Knockout Horror

“Jon D. Wagner’s directorial venture presents a unique premise and features commendable performances from its cast. However, the film’s tonal inconsistencies, excessive reliance on horror tropes, and unresolved plot points hinder its ability to fully satisfy viewers. While it offers chilling moments and atmospheric cinematography, Cabin Girl ultimately fails to deliver a cohesive and fulfilling narrative.” 5.5 out of 10, Midgard Times

“Yes, influencing is important in the overall story, but the script also echoes the classic suspense works of Jimmy Sangster. In place of overt and hackneyed commentary about digital influencers, Cabin Girl offers some loudly executed twists and turns. The movie ends up being a refreshing change of pace for both its own subgenre and Tubi’s original offerings.” Tales from the Paulside

“Creepy ghostly images and an intriguing mystery to unravel. Enhanced by fabulous direction and a strong and powerful performance from the lead […] The story may seem familiar and you could possibly piece together the end, but extremely well done.” 4.5 out of 5, Wilson Gill
