Reviews:
The Childe displays a visualization that is a treat for the eyes. The action scenes are interesting with plot twists that reveal the somber morality in the character’s life. Kim Seon-ho performs very well with his actions and jokes that will keep the audience entertained.” Cineverse [translated from Indonesian]

“It’s an intricate, puzzling network of conflicting motives and goals—but not too much so. After all, Park does want to cut to the chase—literally, in cars, weaving through the streets of a village and making last-second turns on highways, and on foot, through alleyways and across rooftops—and get to the bloody business at hand […] The action of The Childe is dynamically staged and shot, and with this collection of players, it’s devious fun, too.” 3 out of 4, Mark Reviews Movies

“Overall this was an interesting enough action thriller film with few humorous scenes involving the lead character. There were intriguing parts about the intention of the people surrounding Marco and few action scenes […] So if you are interested in seeing an action thriller with the above attributes and you do not mind some of the overly detail part in the early stage of the film, I think you would enjoy this one. ” 3.5 out of 5, Mike’s Movie Moments

“The action scenes are well-choreographed and stylishly shot, so if you’re an action fan, The Childe does, indeed, deliver the goods. To be fair, though, some scenes overstay their welcome and suffer from tonal unevenness. There are also pacing issues. With tighter editing, The Childe could’ve been a much more entertaining thriller.” The NYC Movie Guru

The Childe has some terrific bursts of action that were a great reminder that most of the best action movies were not just about spectacle and constant thrills. Fill in the plot in between the action, and suddenly I might have a story- and characters- I care about, and engage with. This might be one of the best examples of that I’ve seen in recent years.” Grade: A, Sonic Cinema

“I do wish more had been done with Marco’s Kopino heritage and the plight of similar children. Initially, it seemed like it was going to be a bigger factor in The Childe’s plot but then the script backs away from it […] For a film that runs two minutes shy of two hours, The Childe never drags. It’s a big, bloody action film of the kind we don’t get enough of and well worth seeing.” 4 out of 5, Voices from the Balcony
