‘Trust your fear’
Loop Track is a 2023 psychological paranoia thriller in which a four-day trek into the New Zealand bush turns into a fight for survival. Ian (Thomas Sainsbury) wants to get as far away from humanity as possible. However, some other individuals become attached to him. And he has the feeling that they are being followed. Is that real though?

Written, directed by and starring by Thomas Sainsbury. Produced by Gabriel Lunte, Jonathan Potton and Milon Tesiram.

The Chillbox Creative production also stars Hayden J. Weal, Tawanda Manyimo, Kate Simmonds, Noa Campbell, Bianca Seinafo and Gaby Solomona.

Reviews:
“While it’s best to avoid any idea of the final twist in proceedings and go in cold, Loop Track largely works as a study of isolation among people, of alienation and of paranoia. Confident and comedic interactions between Weal and Sainsbury’s character arise more from tension than obvious writing and occasionally uneasy laughs do much to mark proceedings as both enthralling and engaging.” At Darren’s World of Entertainment

“An overall feeling of confidence runs through Sainsbury’s script that doesn’t overshadow its mystery; it likes keeping you off-kilter and playing a guessing game to Ian’s sanity. Is he the problem all along, or is the loop track hiding a more terrifying secret? The performances are level-headed and free from the over-the-top wackiness that could have spoiled the often-serious tone of the film, and the special effects are wisely used sparingly with practicality.” The MN Movie Man

“This film is not just for horror fans but for anyone who appreciates a narrative that probes the intricacies of human nature. With its unique combination of horror, thriller, dark comedy, solid performances, and a gripping storyline, Loop Track stands tall as a landmark achievement in New Zealand cinema. It offers a fascinating journey into reality and illusion, solidifying its place as a cinematic experience to be noticed.” ★★★★ Overly Honest Movie Reviews

Loop Track is a film that got a lot of buzz about it and for good reason. You are sucked in to Ian’s fragile world right from the start and are left thinking about it long after it is over. The film is mostly a slow burn but its never boring because in Ian’s head there is always something happened. I highly recommend checking out this intense journey into madness and horror…” ★★★★½ Video Views

“It’s frequently creepy with just the occasional touch of dark humour. The small cast are all excellent and Milon Tesiram (Sui Generis, Demon Cove) makes the deep woods look as menacing as possible. This is topped off by the effects crew which does an outstanding job of realizing the menace when it’s revealed. A fun watch that will keep you guessing until the last few moments…” ★★★★ Voices from the Balcony
