‘Fear finds new depths’
Something in the Water is a 2024 action horror film about an aquatic female wedding party that is invaded by sharks.

Directed by visual effects artist Hayley Easton Street, making her feature directorial debut, from a screenplay written by Cat Clarke. Produced by Julie Baines.

The StudioCanal production stars Hiftu Quasem, Lauren Lyle, Nicole Rieko Setsuko, Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart and Natalie Mitson.

Plot:
An idyllic destination wedding turns into a battle for survival. Meg (Hiftu Quasem) tentatively attends the wedding of old friend Lizzie (Lauren Lyle) in the Caribbean along with fellow pals Cam (Nicole Rieko Setsuko) and Ruth (Ellouise Shakespeare-Hart), plus her former partner Kayla (Natalie Mitson) who she parted ways with after both survived a deeply traumatic event…

Release:
In the UK, StudioCanal will release Something in the Water in cinemas on July 5, 2024, followed by a Turkish release on August 2, 2024. In the US, Samuel Goldwyn Films will release the movie theatrically in select locations and on VOD on May 3, 2024.
