‘It’s haunting season’
Bambi: The Reckoning is a 2024 horror film which transforms the innocent deer we know into a killing machine.
The British production is part of ITN Studios and Jagged Edge Productions’s growing “Twisted Childhood Universe” which comprises last year’s critically-derided yet financially successful Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey and its sequel, Winnie-the-Pooh: Blood and Honey 2, plus Peter Pan’s Neverland Nightmare and Pinocchio Unstrung. All of the dastardly characters from these films will come together Avengers-style in 2025 in Poohniverse: Monsters Assemble when the critters join forces to take down the world.
Directed by Dan Allen (It Came from Below; Mummy Reborn; Unhinged 2017) from a screenplay by Rhys Warrington based on the 1923 novel Bambi, a Life in the Woods by Austrian author and hunter Felix Salten. Produced by Scott Chambers [as Scott Jeffrey] and Rhys Frake-Waterfield. Executive produced by Stuart Alson and Nicole Holland.
The movie stars Roxanne McKee, Nicola Wright, Samira Mighty, Russell Geoffrey Banks, Alex Cooke, Tom Mulheron, Ewan Borthwick, Catherine Adams, Joseph Greenwood, Luke Cavendish, Adrian Relph, Big Tobz and David Ambler.
