MUNAFIK Indonesian exorcism horror – overview and trailer

Munafik is a horror film about a healer who is drawn into a supernatural case linked to the hypocrisy behind religion and must choose between surrendering to the darkness or saving lives.

Directed by Angger Yudha Setiawan and Guntur Soeharjanto from a screenplay by M. Ali Ghifari and Syamsul Yusof

Plot:
On his way home after helping a family exorcise the Devil from their child’s body, Adam, a religious teacher and ruqyah practitioner, experiences a fatal accident that causes him to lose his wife, Aini.

Since then, he stopped performing ruqyah and lived in prolonged sadness. Until one day, he was asked by Anwar to save Fitri, a nurse and daughter of Mansur, a respected figure in the village where Adam lives. Adam, who initially refused, found a reason to return to ruqyah because he remembered his late wife’s message…
