Reviews:

” …was originally set for an all-black cast and set in upstate New York, before soaring teamster rates lured the production north of the border. Call it fate, call it luck, call it a badly made film; there’s really no doubt that for all its awfulness, Zombie Nightmare was always meant to hold an esteemed place in the Canuxploitation canon…” Canuxploitation

-Adam-West

“The punch-up action is further pumped up by a keister-stomping array of metal songs by established shredders and up-and comers, including party metal-era 1980s Pantera. Despite the title, nobody has a nightmare about any zombies (nor do any zombies have nightmares).” Mike “McBeardo” McPadden, Heavy Metal Movies

“The script means well and has some decent twists, but the impoverished and often utterly cockeyed execution stumbles around blindly almost as much as its zombified hero. The laughs come fast and furious right from the beginning with Thor’s unforgettable convenience store fight, and while it’s a shame he’s buried under make-up for most of the running time, this is a fine companion piece to his subsequent starring vehicle.” Mondo Digital
