Reviews:

Endgame is superior to Watchtower in nearly every way — most notably its crisp pacing, better than average CG gore, and artful if occasionally nauseating cinematography — yet objectively it’s still lacking on many fronts. Its plot is nonsensical and full of holes. None of the characters, even the ones returning from the last movie, demonstrate any growth…” IGN

Endgame takes away the humour and ridiculousness of the first film, turning it into a dry and pedestrian 96 minutes. There’s tension in the action sequences, but it’s all robbed of any impact when the dull talkie moments with equally-dull camerawork pulls the pacing to the side of the road. Diehards videogame fans will be disappointed that the film has none of the ludicrous tone of the first, and the rest will wonder why they bothered with this film at all.” Bloody Disgusting

Dead Rising: Endgame is a horrible case of misrepresented marketing. The name itself – Dead Rising – implies that Crackle’s sequel will bring the source video games to life. Instead, a character plays one of the games on-screen for all of 30 seconds. Or what about the poster, where posing characters showcase battle-ready faces that tease frantic action? Also a lie. Action escapes a good 85% of the film, as dry dialogue blabbers on and on…” We Got This Covered

“I would say that Endgame is slightly more digestible than Watchtower, if only because it cuts out a lot of Watchtower’s unnecessary zaniness and confounding character actions, but it’s still one hot mess of a zombie movie which doesn’t do justice to the highly entertaining Dead Rising video game series.” Gamecrate
