‘Lights, camera, murder’

Scream Test is a 2021 American comedy horror film about a scream queen with injured vocal cords taking a rehab rest on a remote island resort. Unfortunately, people are dying in the same manner as in her films.

Written and directed by Bob Cook, the BC Entertainment Group-Dolphin Image Studios movie was produced by Ginger Brigham Cook, Bob Cook, Juan Pantoja and Nate Schaller.

The movie stars Felissa Rose (Big Freaking Rat; Victor Crowley; Sleepaway Camp; et al), Dave Sheridan (Camp Twilight; Blood CraftThe Devil’s Rejects; et al), Darby Hinton (They Crawl; Wacko; Without Warning), Jeffrey Druce, Vincent M.Ward and Glenn Morshower (Black Wood; The Little Things; A Dark Foe).

“Well, at least it’s better than Camp Twilight […] This looks like it was made for less than nothing and the meta-satire doesn’t quite work, but I dunno, I didn’t find this to be an unpleasant experience.” Alan Dorich

“Faring much better than the clusterf*ck that is Camp Twilight […] this is a simple but competent (in the realm of no-budget cheapies) little Agatha Christie-by-way-of-slashers romp that’s held together by its lovable cast. Beyond the expected charms of Rose and Sheridan, Jeffry Duce adds tremendously to any scene with his earnest and schleppy antics.” Dustin Baker

Choice dialogue:

Doctor Doubleday: “Nothing’s impossible! William Shatner had a career.”
