‘Mind-bending terror from the sky!’

Nebulous Dark is a 2021 American science fiction horror film in which a man wakes up from deep sleep to find he is the last man on Earth… and there are new “tenants”

Stuck in an endless time-loop, Captain Apollo wakes up to discover he is in the post-apocalypse, a pandemic has wiped out most of the population on Earth, and there are new tenants.

Written, directed by and starring Shahin Sean Solimon (Sinbad: The Fifth Voyage), the Giant Flick Films production also stars Ginger Christie, Kent Hatch, Lili Fox-Lim and Kevin Lukata.

Little more than a series of interconnected scenes that collectively make no sense (so much so that I’m glad the official synopsis, and the in-film exposition robot, explains what’s going on) and seems to have been filmed by Solimon with a threadbare cast, crew and sets; so much so the sparse nature of the production seems to have been covered up by excessive use of visual effects, fog, lighting and various other visual trickery.” Nerdly

Release:

Nebulous Dark will be released on Amazon Prime Video on July 14, 2021.

Background:

“It’s a highly stylized and organic film, lending itself to classic genre movies. I love Sci-Fi and was always amazed by what those classic shows would achieve,” says writer-director Solimon. “In fact, I would find myself looking forward to watching The Twilight Zone or The Outer Limits TV shows and intrigued by the genius of Rod Serling and some of the other writer’s scripts. The twists, and the mind-bending.”

Solimon continues: “I loved the storytelling, substance, and characters in classic sci-fi TV which would drive the plot in a creative, and supernatural setting. I think Nebulous Dark will resonate with the fans. It was fun to make and a great stretch of the imagination for me and the team”.
