The Adventures of Maid Marian is a 2022 British action film about her attempts to keep Robin Hood alive after the pair are ambushed.
Written, directed and co-produced by Bill Thomas (The Three Musketeers; Lockdown Kings; Fallen Soldiers). Also produced by Jeet Thakrar, Lucinda Rhodes Thakrar, Bill Thomas and David Underwood.
The Picture Perfect production stars Sophie Craig, Dominic Andersen, Lainy Boyle, Jennifer Matter, Bob Cryer, James Groom, Alexander Jeremy, Roland Stone, Gerard Cooke, Danny Husbands, Jon Lee Pellet and Harry Harrold.
Plot:
After three years of hiding in a remote priory, news reaches Marian that King Richard the Lionheart is dead. Her lover Robin Hood is returning from the wars. Leaving her sanctuary she hurries to meet him but they discover all is not as it seems. William De Wendenal, the disgraced Sheriff of Nottingham, has returned from exile and is out for revenge.
Ambushed, Marian and Robin fight for their lives and escape, but Robin is badly injured. Deep in the forest and miles from help and hounded by ruthless mercenaries, Marian must use all the skills at her disposal to keep Robin alive and get him to safety…

“Sophie Craig is ok in the lead role yet hardly exudes heroine. The Adventures of Maid Marion reveals its low budget often with some amusingly anachronistic dialogue and yet it’s generally good fun. There are some splendid Olde England settings that add value, despite the drone shots of would-be Sherwood Forest. The worst element of the film is undoubtedly a woefully miscast Robin Hood because Dominic Andersen seems too much a pretty boy and too young to boot.
