Mouse of Horrors is a 2024 horror film about a group of friends who get trapped at an amusement park and attempt to survive against a mutated rat named Steamboat Willie. Previously known as The Mouse Experiment
In a classic case of opportunistic overkill, this is the fourth horror flick to take advantage of the fact that the Disney short Steamboat Willie (1928) is now officially in the public domain. The first release was the poorly received The Mouse Trap, there’s Mouseboat Massacre, Mickey vs. Winnie and Screamboat will be released in 2025.
The movie was directed and co-produced by Brendan Petrizzo (Megalodon: The Frenzy; Devil’s Triangle; Monster Hunters) from a screenplay by prolific Harry Boxley (Jack and Jill: Hills Run Red; Mary Had a Little Lamb; Cinderella’s Curse; Snake Hotel; Easter Killing 2; Dragon Fury 2: Return To the Mountains; The Area 51 Incident; Van Helsing) and Marc Gottlieb (How to Kill Your Family on Christmas; War of the Worlds: Extinction; Ape X Mecha Ape: New World Order; Megalodon: The Frenzy; Ape vs. Mecha Ape; Ice Storm; 2025 Armageddon; 20.0 Megaquake; Super Volcano; Jungle Run; Aquarium of the Dead; Fast and Fierce: Death Race; Triassic World; Alien Convergence; Planet of the Sharks). Also produced by Anthony C. Ferrante (Sharknado franchise) and Rob Pallatina and executive produced by ITN Studio’s Stuart Alson and Nicole Holland.
