Reviews:
“Lo-fi, ambitious and hypnotic, the film is certainly meant for those with giallo-inclined taste and previous experience. Sonno Profondo unfolds largely from the killer’s POV (though it’s not found footage), giving a sort of constricting tunnel vision feel. This is heavy, specific style and it wants you to strap in.” Samuel Zimmermann, Fangoria

“Fortunately, Onetti realizes that he was making an experimental film in the giallo style, and doesn’t belabor the point; the film clocks in at just over an hour, and that’s plenty of time to get into the story without getting overly-frustrated.” Legless Corpse
“ …Sonno Profondo is more of an atypical experience rather than a fascinating story. This is actually quite a shift from the original giallo genre whose films tend to focus on the scenario, and in the final surprise. The visual of the genre is however really faithful, even adding a welcomed touch of modernity to it.” Raoul Peltier, Horrorfreak News

” …a great moving picture experience. It has everything you would ever love from a giallo film. Sexy suspense, a black-hat/black-glove wearing psycho-sexual deviant on the loose, a shiny blade stained in some of the thickest blood you will ever see and a pulsating soundtrack by Onetti, himself, keeping everything tightly wrapped.” Film Deviant
