VIDEO NASTY (2021) Seth Rogen’s cursed VHS horror

Video Nasty is a forthcoming horror film about three teenagers who rent a cursed VHS tape that pulls them into an ’80s slasher movie. The trio has to fight for their lives or be trapped forever.

Lionsgate optioned the Video Nasty screenplay by Chris Thomas Devlin (The Texas Chainsaw Massacre, 2021), with Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg to produce the film through their Point Grey banner.

Variety suggests that Rogen’s usual collaborator Jonathan Levine (50/50; The Night Before) will likely be signed up as director and would also co-produce along with aforementioned Seth Rogen, Evan Goldberg, plus Greg Silverman of Stampede Ventures.
