‘One shot one kill for mankind’
Alien Sniperess is a 2022 American science fiction action horror film about a female soldier on leave who encounters a hostile alien invasion. Also known as Alien Sniper.

Written, produced, photographed and directed by Joseph Mbah (Battlefield 2025; Expo; Krampus Origins; Genesis: Fall of the Crime Empire). Executive produced by Tim Warren.

The Paradox Universe-Green Apple Productions movie stars Olivia Okoro, Sean Laguna, Doug Savage, Sean Dillingham, Bourke Floyd, Camille Kerber and Alaina Laethem.

Review:
Seemingly, Alien Sniperess has several things against it, not the least of which is the use of a word that doesn’t exist in its title! But in an era where so many filmmakers use overly generic (The Cursed) or bland one-word titles (Trip) that make their films hard to find online, perhaps this is a welcome bonus. The other obvious downsides are the film’s low effects budget and limited locations (a press conference in what looks like a school hall being particularly weak), with the latter being issue when the plot involves a worldwide alien invasion.

Nonetheless, Alien Sniperess manages to rise about its modest origins and to present a few characters that the viewer can genuinely care about, some frenetically shot action sequences that actually work and a few welcome parasites of the old school Cronenenbergian variety. A strong black female lead who isn’t entirely cliche-ridden is also a bonus. The only minor downsides are the slightly overlong running time that results in a few lulls here and there and some dodgy songs that feel shoehorned in.

Other reviews:

“The parasite and gunshot effects by Danny Takacs are convincing enough and the CGI spaceship and muzzle flashes, while not great, are a step above an Asylum or Mark Polonia film […] Briskly paced and well made, Alien Sniperess was an unexpected treat…” 3.5/5 Voices from the Balcony
