The inquisitive pair’s beliefs are pushed to the limit as inexplicable events start to transpire, all linked to the infamous Gibson house. The sins from the past resurface to haunt the present, as the world of Claire and Rachel gets horrifyingly flipped on its head…

Reviews:
Spookt is in large parts quite restrained until it wants to turn up the intensity and creates some genuinely creepy imagery and atmosphere. There are winks to films such as The Changeling but also Spookt has a meaner tone, with the horrifying truth about Byler’s experiments not becoming clear until it may be too late.” Bloody Flicks

Spookt is an admirably concise picture – we’ve seen a lot of paranormal bloggers/debunkers get their comeuppance lately, but this gives equal time to the sceptic and the believer without overly indulging either […] It’s mostly a rattling spook ride, but Leary and Sharice get to flesh out interesting, unconventional characters.  And that non-Amish doll is creepy.” The Kim Newman Web Site

“This movie creates genuine scares throughout the uneasy mystery around the town. Haley Leary and Christen Sharice are both excellent in their leading roles. They show the nature of both the investigators and what they want to learn about the mystery.” ★★★★ Movie Reviews 101

“In Greenville, history – and old museum pieces – persist, sending their staticky signals into the present, and while Rachel tries to make a YouTube video (a marker of her generation) dispelling the borough’s old myths, she will find herself ever more trapped in an uncanny scenario right out of an Eighties film […] You see, all of America has a past, often unsavoury if not utterly rotten, which lives on down the generations, perhaps forever. ” Projected Figures

“The film feels like a Scooby-Doo episode in a lot of ways, but that’s part of why it entertains us as much as it does […] Oh yeah, creepy kids is another horror trope we get here, and I’m for it. There are surprises abound in Spookt, so it’s well worth seeking out when it starts making the rounds.” A- Sonic Cinema
