‘Darkness awakens evil’
Freddy’s Fridays is a 2023 British horror film about an evil man who lures female victims to his lair to be sacrificed by monsters.
This ‘mockbuster’ was presumably intended to cash in on the release of Five Nights at Freddy’s on October 27, 2023.
Directed by Ben J. Williams (Bambi: The Reckoning; Spiders on a Plane; Dinosaur Hotel 3; Pterodactyl 2; Mega Lightning 2; Tsunami Shark; Supernado) from a screenplay co-written by Charlie Carter and Tom Carter.

“What doesn’t work – It’s very dark. As in, sometimes you literally can’t see what’s going on. It gets very dialogue-heavy in parts and the storyline is basically spelt out, at length. What does work – the killers/creatures are scary, particularly the character of Freddy. “There is blood but most of it is bad CGI. That’s in line with everything else in the film. The acting is bad, the script is bad, etc., but that goes without saying.
