Imaginary is a 2024 American horror film about a little girl’s friendship with a stuffed bear that turns out to not be friendly.
Directed and co-produced by Jeff Wadlow (The Curse of Bridge Hollow; Fantasy Island; Blumhouse’s Truth or Dare) from a screenplay co-written with Greg Erb, Bryce McGuire and Jason Oremland. Also produced by Sean Albertson, Jason Blum and Paul Uddo. Executive produced by Ryan Turek and DeWanda Wise.
The movie stars DeWanda Wise (Jurassic World Dominion), Tom Payne, Taegen Burns, Pyper Braun, Veronica Falcon and Betty Buckley.
Plot:
Jessica moves back into her childhood home with her family. Her youngest stepdaughter Alice develops an eerie attachment to a stuffed bear named Chauncey she finds in the basement.
Alice starts playing games with Chauncey that begin playfully and become increasingly sinister. As Alice’s behaviour becomes more and more concerning, Jessica intervenes only to realise Chauncey is much more than the stuffed toy bear she believed him to be…
