As has been widely rumoured, Russell Crowe is returning to fight more demons.
The Pope’s Exorcist 2 has officially been announced with producer Jeff Katz confirming the news on social media:

The Pope’s Exorcist was released in the United States in April 2023. It reportedly had a budget of $18 million and took $76,987,621 million at box offices worldwide before more revenue from home viewing residuals such as Blu-ray, DVD and streaming.
Before Russell Crowe returns for The Pope’s Exorcist sequel, he can be seen in The Exorcism, directed by Joshua John Miller and starring Sam Worthington, Ryan Simpkins and David Hyde Pierce (Frasier). That movie was filmed back in 2019 but seems to have been held up by some film business politics. It’s set for release theatrically in the US on June 7, 2024.
